No, there is not USR chip on a Motorola card. At first I tried toinstall Motorola SM56 modem, but I couldn't. Then I get another 3Commodem and replace Motorola with it, and try to install it. I removedMotorola from computer, but in spite of this, scanModem detectschipset as Motorola. I have uninstalled sl-modem-daemon (with $ sudoapt-get remove sl-modem-daemon), and then again run scanModem.ModemData.txt is similar with one I get before uninstallingsl-modem-daemon. Why when Motorola modem is physically removed, scanModem detects 3Com USR modem as Motorola? Which chipper internalmodems (or chipsets) you can recommend to me, which can be installedsuccessfully?
