Sebek, Copy the slmodemd into the COMMAND path $ sudo cp slmodemd /usr/sbin/slmodemd $ sudo chmod +x /usr/sbin/slmodemd When the problem below occurs just unload and reload the driver $ sudo modprobe -r snd-intel8x0m $ sudo modprobe snd-intel8x0m This usually cures sucj failures (once you have had a success). It is occassionally needed between dialout sessions.
