Thanx a lot Marvin and Hugo for your help,
I tried first the ln to ttySagr. This brought me a little bit further. Because wvdialconf does see ttySagr, but without result:

#baso@vast:~$ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
#Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'.
#
#Scanning your serial ports for a modem.
#
#Modem Port Scan<*1>: S0
#ttyS1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 2400 baud, next try: 9600 baud
#ttyS1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 115200 baud
#ttyS1<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.
#Modem Port Scan<*1>: S2 S3
#ttySagr<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 2400 baud, next try: 9600 baud
#ttySagr<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- failed with 9600 baud, next try: 115200 baud
#ttySagr<*1>: ATQ0 V1 E1 -- and failed too at 115200, giving up.

#Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?

When I edit menu.lst like Hugo told me to do, I get a lot of errors with my usb mouse en keyboard and grafics (nvidia). But wvdialconf actually gives me a result detecting the Agere modem. When I tried to use it for dialing, my system hangs totally! I could not even 'Sysrq'. But maybe that is because of the usb keyboard.

Is there another way doing this? I included ModemData.txt
