Rick, scanModem reports that you have The modem symbolic link is /dev/modem -> ttySL0 There are no blacklisted modem drivers in /etc/modprobe* files Potentially useful modem drivers now loaded are: slamr ungrab_winmodem The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) packages providing audio support, also includes drivers for some modems. The ALSA diagnostics are written during bootup to /proc/asound/ folders. The /proc/asound/pcm file reports: ----------------------- 00-02: ALC883 Analog : ALC883 Analog : capture 2 00-00: ALC883 Analog : ALC883 Analog : playback 1 : capture 2 about /proc/asound/cards: ------------------------ 0 [SB ]: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI SB HDA ATI SB at 0xd0000000 irq 19 USB modem not detected by lsusb For candidate card in slot 00:14.2, firmware information and bootup diagnostics are: PCI slot PCI ID SubsystemID Name ---------- --------- --------- -------------- 00:14.2 1002:437b 1025:010f Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SB450 HDA Audio These are loaded already, slamr ungrab_winmodem Did you install slamr? If you did, it is not the one that you need, you probably need SLMODEMD but scanModem does not recommend it. slamr + ungrab-winmodem is not the one that you need though. Might be conexant as well, but again scanmodem does not recommend either. Regards, Antonio On Jan 2, 2008 9:23 AM, rick <cwyong1@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > >
