I unpack suse-10-2a.tar.gz and I use the command:
make
Run "make install" to install Agere Systems Soft Modem on your system.
Run "make uninstall" to remove a previously installed modem.

So I use:
sudo make install
And I get:
Installing Agere Soft Modem driver version 2.1.73
some files needed for installation are missing

So I unpack the file agrsm-20070804.tar.gz and I replace the file
agrmodemlib.o to agrmodemlib.o from suse-10-2a.tar.gz

I use make and make install.
Ok.
But I use sudo modprobe agrmodem and I get:
WARNING: Error inserting agrmodem
(/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/extra/agrmodem.ko): Unknown symbol in
module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
FATAL: Error inserting agrserial
(/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/extra/agrserial.ko): Unknown symbol in
module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

My dmesg (dmesg | grep agr)
hugleo@hugleo-desktop:~/Desktop/suse-10-2a$ dmesg | grep agr
[ 401.169197] agrmodem: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
[ 401.169506] agrmodem: Unknown symbol agr_pci_get_irq
[ 401.169572] agrmodem: Unknown symbol kill_proc_wrap
[ 401.198898] agrserial: Unknown symbol GetAgrModemInterface
[ 453.575164] agrmodem: Unknown symbol agr_pci_get_irq
[ 453.575241] agrmodem: Unknown symbol kill_proc_wrap
[ 453.576920] agrserial: Unknown symbol GetAgrModemInterface

I use agrsm-20070804.tar.gz without replace to new agrmodemlib.o and my
modem work.
