Under Linux 2.6.n kernels, the chipset is NOT SUPPORTED .

There simple is lacking an update of the driver code to 2.6.n kernels
for ANY Linux whatsoever.
It would require work at Broadcom, and they are no longer supporting
modems under Linux
Read InfoGeneral.txt about alternatives
