What type of USB modem is:
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 07b8:f101 D-Link Corp. DSB-560 Modem [atlas]
  idVendor 0x07b8 D-Link Corp.
  idProduct 0xf101 DSB-560 Modem [atlas]
-----
a simple dialout type or a broadband device?

The
PCIbus=00:11.6
00:11.6 Communication controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. AC'97 Modem
could be either a Conexant type (read Conexant.txt)
or a type supported by:
slmodemd + snd_via82xx_modem

But this problem:
----------------------
The PCI slot 00:11.6 of the modem card may be disabled early in
a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load
but the modem is not responsive, read Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
 Send dmesg.txt along with ModemData.txt to discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
 if help is needed.
---------------------
blocked a complete analysis. There should have been a erd Modem line in:
/proc/asound/pcm:
00-01: VIA 8237 : VIA 8237 : playback 1 : capture 1
00-00: VIA 8237 : VIA 8237 : playback 4 : capture 1

Try to get some more information under a Microsoft boot about the
drivers used for the AC97 modem.
