What does your ISP want? http://axion.physics.ubc.ca/ppp-linux.html If you are using Juno as your provider, then you are indeed having alot of trouble. http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-67980.html I have a friend that used Juno and it connected, but very slowly with linux. Even on Window$ it was a pain to get connected. You have to use their software to connect to their servers. What is your ISP? Maybe finding out what they want, will help you get connected to the net. maybe adding the nameservers to /etc/resolv.conf will fix your issues.
