This is the decisive info
---------------------
Conexant HDA D330 MDC V.92 Modem

Hardware ID HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_14F1&DEV_2C06&SUBSYS_14F1000F&REV_1000
---------------------
Compiling is necessary packages must be installed, providing:
  linux-headers-2.6.18-3-k7 linux-headers-2.6.18-3
If these are on your install disks:
# apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.18-3-k7
will install them both.
Alternatively, find them through www.debian.org --> packages and search for
linux-headers-2.6 , as the Search function will choke on the full
linux-headers-2.6.18-3-k7 , though linux-headers-2.6.18 might be OK
After download and copy into your linux partition, install with:
# dpkg -i *.deb

formal support for Conexant chipset modems is available
through http://www.linuxant.com/drivers, You will need the generic
hsfmodem*.deb package,
Or in you have a Dell box, they provide a hsfmodem package.
That info will follow separately.
