For 11c1:0448 Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics WinModem 56k
Support type needed or chipset:	Agere.DSP

The modem has a supported Lucent/Agere Mars or Apollo DSP (digital signal
processing) chipset. Support packages for 2.6.n kernels are at:
http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/
See AgereDSP.txt for Details.

compiling is necessary packages must be installed, providing:
	gcc-3.3 linux-headers-2.6.10-5-386
If the compiler fails, you likely also need the linux-kernel-devel package

Subject: Latitude ls modem driver support Ubuntu "hoary" 5.0.4

Hi Guys

I am living in Australia. I have just installed a version of ubuntu "hoary" 5.0.4 and am looking at the possibility of getting my modem to function.

I believe I need to send the ModemData.txt to you at this address for further info.

Please help, you seem to be the only one who can assist

Thanks
