I guess I should correct myself, on referring another person to get hsfmodem from linuxant, I saw http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/index.php?PHPSESSID=c6b54f1d1290d940ebf824f61d761a45 SIS AC-Link Controller # PCI ID 1039:7013 so maybe you need to get the hsfmodem from linuxant. and forget about SLMODEMD. The PCI slot 00:02.6 of the modem card may be disabled early in a bootup process, but then enabled later. If modem drivers load but the modem is not responsive, read Bootup.txt about possible fixes.
