Honda, Winmodem software generally is not suitable for multi-modem support. The more expensive Controller Chipset modems do all signal processing on the the modem subsystem, so there is no problem keeping data streams separate. But for the cheaper winmodems, signal processing proceeds in the CPU, and the software was not written to manage the added complexity of managing multiple data streams separately. The only exception may be the Smartlink chipset modems, for which software developer Sasha Khapyorsky reports that multiple modems of this type can be hosted. I"m not sure whether such multi-modem support also extends to other softmodem chipsets, which can be served by the combination of an ALSA modem driver and Sasha's high level slmodemd helper.
