Help Please . My fax modem is not working

To whom it may concern

I have a web server running linux red hat and i have a problem with my modem. For some reason, I could not send a fax through the modem.
I would like to confirm if my modem is working fine
i have run the scanmodem software but i could not understand the .TXT file.
I'm a new user for LINUX. Could you please help?
