Hello list. my computer freezes regularly, and this seems to be related to the Conexant driver for linmodem. I'd like to remove the driver for the linmodem, to see if it is responsible for my computer freezing. Please tell me should this be unwise. I'm using Debian Etch (stable) with occasional testing, unstable or experimental packages. The version of my linux kernel is 2.6.18-4-amd64. I ran the scanmodem script, and the ModemData.txt file can be found at the end of this electronic message. I do not wish to waste your time more than strictly necessary.
