Support type needed or chipset: slamr
The modem is supported by the Smartlink slamr driver
plus the slmodemd helper utility. Read the
Smartlink.txt and Modem/YourSystem.txt for follow
through guidance.
If compiling is necessary packages must be installed,
providing:
linux-headers-2.6.20-15-386
Get ungrab-winmodem-latest and slmodem-2.9.11-latest
from
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/ungrab-winmodem-20070505.tar.gz
and
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/slmodem-2.9.11-20070505.tar.gz
copy to your linux partition.
tar -zxvf ungrab-winmodem-20070505.tar.gz
and
tar -zxvf slmodem-2.9.11-20070505.tar.gz
you need to get the kernel headers for your running
kernel
linux-headers-2.6.20-15-386
might be on your install cd or use
$ sudo apt-get kernel-headers
if you have a working connection.
