Confused by WHAT?
Confused by being sent right to the right place ??

Could we perhaps stop this thread?
It just accumulates wrong information on the ARCHIVE which people search when using scanModem !!!

Hi

As the title says, I've noticed a small mistake in
the Smartlink.txt file
generated by scanModem. The first paragraph of the

file reads :
SmartLink (http://www.smlink.com/) chipset modems
are sold under a variety

of BrandNames, and have vendor IDs 163c, 2000,
2003, and 2004. Conexant
bought

Smartlinks's modem techhology sector in 2005.
While Linux updates are not

expected from Conexant, Linux support is still
very good thanks to volunteer

Linux maintainer Sasha Khapyorsky. Get his updated
software from:

http://linmodems.technion.il/packages/smartlink/

While the actual address is
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il.

Firas,

you have pointed to the home page, the smartlink
support is your corrections plus "/packages/smartlink"

http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/

Regards,

Antonio

Yep, my own modem is working perfectly, I just noticed this today while I was searching for the addreess to get slmodemd. Just thought I'd report it since new users might be _really_ confused by this ;)
