Igor,

All you have done is technically OK.

Best file a Bug Report through http://www.alsa-project.org/ on the
snd-hda-intel driver concerning
'error: period size 48 not supported for playback (64)' on slmodemd" for your
Class 0403: 8086:27d8 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G
     Primary PCI_id 8086:27d8
   Subsystem PCI_id 103c:30a3
Softmodem codec or Vendor from diagnostics: 11c1, an AgereSystems type.
The HDA card softmodem chip is 0x11c13026
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 6: Si3054 Modem [Si3054 Modem]

I'm also copying to the slmodemd maintainer, Sasha K.

Hi All,

Having searched through archive I have found a few people having
similar issues. However, My modem ID is different (0x11c13026), which
should be supported:

Current support status of HDA cards is:

---------- ---------- -------------
0x14f12bfa Conexant hsfmodem , not slmodemd compatible
0x11c13026 AgereSystems snd-hda-intel, slmodemd supported
0x11c11040 AgereSystems " " support not yet available.
0x11c13055 AgereSystems " " , "

0x163c3155 " " " , "
0x10573055 Motorola " " , "
0x10573155 " " " , ""
as of October 2006.

Problem I'm having is 'error: period size 48 not supported for
playback (64)' on slmodemd output when trying to dial-out (both kppp
or wvdial cause identical errors).

This is nc8430 running feisty (kubuntu 7.04), with recent scanModem
(few days old).

Please find attached ModemData.txt.

Thank you,
Igor
