Hi Marvin I attach ModemData obtained with recent (2-4 days ago) scanmodem. I'm using slmodemd untarred from SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz with the command slmodemd -c ITALY --alsa hw:0,6 When the dialer starts I get the message: error: period size 48 is not supported by playback (64). My ALSA version, from /proc/asound/version, is Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.14rc1 (Tue Jan 09 09:56:17 2007 UTC). My system is Ubuntu 7.04 32 bit. Thanks alot for the help you can give. --Luca
