The pctel software will NOT work. In principle this modem will be
supported by the
slamr.ko + ungrab-winmodem.ko modules compiled from
ungrab-winmodem.tar.gz and slmodem-2.9.11-20061021.tar.gz downloaded
from
http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/smartlink/
Read Smartlink.txt for details.
Unfortunately, we are awaiting a fix in the slmodem code for compiling under
2.6.18 kernels including your Linux version 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 .
Follow this List for news on this issue.
You must install the package kernel-devel-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 to
complete general compiling support.
