$40US to the Linmodem/PCTel Developer that fixes this problem...

Hi,

I can't get my PCTel modem working under FC6 with the latest kernel (see
below). The setup script has problems with UTS_RELEASE, but I understand if
that problem was fixed there would still be other problems.

I use the modem for caller ID (I log it to a MySQL database). I'm not
interested in establishing dial-up connections with the modem. I just want
to enable caller ID and monitor it from a Java program using rxtx.

I'll paypal $40US to anyone who can fix this problem (resulting in a usable
driver for me) and get their fix accepted by Robert Thornburrow
<robert.thornburrow@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> and included in a pctel release.
Robert Thornburrow will arbitrate any disputes related to this offer (he
says who submitted the fix that made it into his release). This offer
expires on February 17, 2007 at 10:18 PM EST (one month from today).

THANKS!
John
