I tried to install the debian package from your website, hoping I can make my lucent modem work. But I was not successful. I have also tried ltmodem_8.31a10.tar.gz , then I got the message saying OK, but after connecting using gnome-ppp, the modem used to drop the line a few seconds after authentication.
