Why not, I think if somebody wants to progress with this, I would not be
against the idea.

One trap may be, that I think this works in Writer by each & every undo
action (or at least most) supporting a "redo" without an "undo". If this
assumption is correct, then it may not be a single place where you can
add this for Impress, but you may need to audit all undo actions to see
if their redo works without an undo.

Example: insert shape is OK to redo without an undo, set shape fill
color from red to green is probably not meaningful.
