Hello Sir/Mam,
I am Abhishek M Program Leader of Script Winter of Code (SWOC) by Script Foundation.
We are a fervid organization that is constantly working to build new and innovative strategies for the students to take a step up in their careers.
SWOC (Script Winter Of Code) is an attempt to let the students be exposed to the world of Open Source Development. In this program, the students will be guided and mentored by adept mentors for a period of 3 months to encourage and spread the word about open source and get familiar with open source and some big open-source programs like GSoC.
As your organization with open source projects, we would like to invite you to join the SWOC with your open source projects with an opportunity for students to contribute to your projects with professionals and experienced mentors.
We are confident that we will provide a better platform for everyone and this will help a lot of students and professionals.
The SWOC will be conducted in the following manner :
1) For Beginners: For those who are beginners and keeping their first step in open source, we will be allowed to contribute to some student-led projects. They will be directly applying and start contributing to projects they want and learn the things to improve themselves and get to know about Open source.
2) For Experienced / Professionals: For those who have experience in open source and have contributed to a lot of projects those will be eligible to choose the Big organization projects like you. For these classes, we will be following a professional approach.
* They will be applying to your projects by making Proposals
* Organization or Mentors will be selecting the participants by reviewing their applications (Proposals).
We think that this will help beginners to get into open source contribution and Experienced to get familiar with the professional approach and get an idea about how open source contribution works in professional and big programs like GSOC, MLH Fellowship, Outreachy, and some more.
