Hi Mohamed, many thanks for your interest. The work on the UI is pretty simple in general- as long as you stick to default controls. We use Glade and Gtk widget with some magic to load [1]. Don't worry too much about this, at least I don't see much UI work related to OpenPGP. Always a bit more challenging is the workflow, so the UX aspect. We can discuss everything in detail and I'll try to help as best as I can. LibreOffice has a design team with some pretty talented designers and with people like me who focus on UX. You won't be alone :-). All the best for your project, Heiko [1] http://caolanm.blogspot.com/2018/04/some-native-gtk-dialogs-in-libreoffice.html On 15.02.20 16:18, mohamed sameh wrote: > Hello > I am interested in the OpenPGP UX idea but I wanted to know if my skill set was enough. > > --What C++ libraries do I need to know to be able to work on this idea ? > --I am not experienced with UI/UX work on desktop applications as most of my work was basic UI or without UI at all. How hard will it be for me to work on a UX idea like OpenPGP ? > > Best Regards > Mohamed Sameh > > _______________________________________________ > LibreOffice mailing list > LibreOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice > -- Dr. Heiko Tietze, UX-Designer and UX-Mentor Tel: +49 30 5557992-63 | Mail: heiko.tietze@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The Document Foundation, Kurfürstendamm 188, 10707 Berlin, DE Gemeinnützige rechtsfähige Stiftung des bürgerlichen Rechts Legal details: https://www.documentfoundation.org/imprint
