I can't remember a single instance where I wanted to insert the stupid "OLE" object (and it being the default is quite infuriating to put it mildly) and inserting a formatted text is also a rare need since I usually need a different formatting anyway. The request makes sense as most users might want to keep the style as defined in the master slide - and need therefore the Paste Special: Unformatted Text command. The OLE on simply ctrl+V wasn't a topic in the first place. I see four +1 on the ticket (plus your comment here) and two -1. That's why I accepted the request (which means no further input from UX needed).
