Hi Marco, you could configure a script with cron and ping and
monitoring default gateway, if the response is no you have to change
default gateway in box linux to other default gateway.

ip route replace default via OTHER_IP_GATEWAY

Also, you can use quagga if you enable dynamic protocols at Linux.
