Hi.

I use squid (2.5.STABLE4) with probing to parent squid's on ISP-side (2
ISP in my case). And also use "weight" parameter for parents.
For first ISP I'v use weight 1, for second 10.
Like this

cache_peer 1.1.1.1 parent 3128 3130 no-delay weight=10
cache_peer 2.2.2.2 parent 3128 3130 no-delay weight=1

So most requests go via 10-weghted ISP untill it not marked "dead" (see
/var/log/squid/cache.log) or "tcp connection failed". In that case
request will go via second ISP (weight=1).
when 1.1.1.1 "wake ip" :) requests again return in "right way".
