Take  as  fast  processor and as much memory you can - it's cheap. I've had
some  machines  with anything from PIII550 and 256MB RAM to AMD Athlon 1Ghz
with 2GB running zebra and everything was OK.

Take time to tune your zebra, and preferably - install & make from CVS. For
the BGP and routing, good sources are:
