Hello,

You should read ip-cref.ps, included with your distribution of
iproute2. Generally it means that you have to turn on these 
features in your kernel config:

CONFIG_IP_ADVANCED_ROUTER=y
CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES=y
