I can still reproduce the bug w/ the above commit you mentioned.
Also, I found 64bit Ubuntu/Fedora guests can't boot correctly.
	Ubuntu 12.04, kernle 3.2.0-23-generic
	Fedora17, kernel 3.4.4-5-fc17
Can you also have a try ?
