Re: networking stops working

More details: pinging from within the guest gives

ping: sendmsg: No buffer space available
ping: sendmsg: No buffer space available
ping: sendmsg: No buffer space available

I verified that there are no processes using huge amounts of sockets
(lsof -n | grep IPv | wc -l tells me there are 755 in use).

I also tried disabling STP on the bridge (did not help).

The mac address of the interface in the guest does not show up in the
brctl showmacs br1 output.

Currently the problem starts after not more than 5 minutes of uptime so
it seems to get worse. No changes done, only the 10th reboot or so in
the last couple of hours. The host has been up for 16 days.

No messages in dmesg on the host and also not in the guest.

It does not look as a memory usage problem: the guest has 5GB of ram
free (it just started up) and swap is completely empty. 0.6GB of
buffers.
