problems with windows xp 32 bit guest - mouse and network

Hi,

i'm new to kvm. I managed to migrate a vm from VMWare Server 1.09 to kvm. I'm running kvm 0.15.1-0.23.1 on a SLES 11 SP2 64bit host.
The vm is booting properly. But i can't configure a tablet, what is recommended for having a smooth mouse pointer. The tablet is included in the virt-manager and in the configfile (xml) in the guest. But i don't see a tablet in Windows. I tried to remove the ps/2 mouse form the config, but it reappeared automatically after then next boot. How can i make the tablet as the default pointer in the guest, as the virt-manager proposes ?

And i don't have network. I tried to use a virtio network adapter. Installation seemed to run fine, but in the device manager the network adapter appears with an exclamation mark and is not working. I tried the iso 1.52 and 1.59 from http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/, both don't work.
I also tried the e1000 network adapter, but windows does not provide a driver for it.

Any help would be apreciated.

Bernd
