I would like to know if what I am attempting is possible. I am presently using a CentOS-6.3 kvm host: Linux vhost04.hamilton.harte-lyne.ca 2.6.32-279.9.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Sep 25 21:43:11 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux With a similar kvm guest. I have passed a PCI/USB modem through to the guest using qemu-kvm virt-manager. I have restarted the guest. The guest sees the modem as /dev/ttyACM0 and I can connect to it via picocom (the TR light goes high) but I cannot communicate with it. At 115200 I can see the first few letters of the ATI command as they are typed but the response is gibberish. Running wvdialconf shows this: Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'.
