Initial Comment:
Installation of 64-bit windows OS(tested with vista, win2003 and win2008) fails on an early stage on KVM-77 with a BSOD, see attached screenshot (using IDE disk).

I am working on a Debian 2.6.24 amd64 Kernel.

can anyone confirm this?

Also, the good old -no-kvm-irqchip option is a workaround (confirmed) for
kvm-77.

Message:
Confirmed on Ubuntu 8.04 amd64. My x64 Windows VMs started bluescreening
after upgrading from kvm-75 to kvm-77. Also confirmed it happens on Windows
installation too.

Workaround is to downgrade to kvm-75, which is stable for x64 Windows
guests. I'm not using kvm-76 because it had a different bug which neither
75 or 77 have.

Duplicate of 2168057.

Note: You can apply
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.kvm.devel/22635 as a
temporary workaround.
