If it does reappear, please do open a new bug with the info. Thanks, Jes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jes Sorensen (jessorensen) Date: 2010-06-11 11:29 Message: Hi, Is this still an issue with recent QEMU/KVM or can we close this bug? Thanks, Jes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Carlo Marcelo Arenas Belon (carenas) Date: 2007-11-28 11:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=36771 Originator: NO All releases of Solaris up to (and including) Solaris 10 used real mode to boot an configure the hardware and until "Device Configuration Assistant" was replaced by GRUB as part of the "New Boot" feature with Solaris 10 update 1 (AKA Solaris 10 1/06) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jan Lana (jenda) Date: 2007-08-06 12:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=530251 Originator: YES I tried, but the same error occurs. It looks s9x use the mode in boot loader. It's pitty that s9 can not be hosted by kvm for this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Avi Kivity (avik) Date: 2007-08-06 11:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=539971 Originator: NO Looks like the installer is using "Big Real Mode" (http://kvm.qumranet.com/kvmwiki/Intel_Real_Mode_Emulation_Problems). At present this is not supported well on Intel hardware. As a workaround, you might try installing with -no-kvm and then booting using kvm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jan Lana (jenda) Date: 2007-08-06 11:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=530251 Originator: YES I forgot: QEMU (or -no-kvm) works fine, I was able to install s9 without problem ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=893831&aid=1768212&group_id=180599 -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe kvm" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
