Ridiculous Uptime in KVM VM

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, all!

I'm observing the following thing in a KVM VM:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
aps3:~# uptime
 06:25:11 up 14557 days, 10:29, 5 users, load average: 0.87, 1.02, 0.95
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the Linux kernel version in the VM (Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.3):

aps3:~# uname -a
Linux aps3 2.6.26-2-686-bigmem #1 SMP Wed Nov 4 21:12:12 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

And the one of the VMHost (Ubuntu Hardy Heron server amd64) is:

root@ss03:~# uname -a
Linux ss03 2.6.30.4-dgb #1 SMP Tue Aug 11 21:14:26 ART 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This last one compiled by myself with the source of kernel.org. The
VMHost has KVM-88 compiled from source of the official site of KVM. The
VMHost runs in a ProLiant DL380 G5 with two Intel Xeon E5405 quadcore
processors.

Please, let me to know if you need some other detail or the output of
some test to obtain additional data.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Daniel
