kvm causes stable BSOD in Windowsx XP / XP 64 with Epson V700 USB scanner. How I can help to fix this?

Here's a few things to try:
Try the latest qemu-kvm from the files page
Try with upstream qemu
Try connecting the device to a usb1.1 hub - sometimes devices get
configured as usb2 and don't like going back
