Hello -
This is a topic which has been covered in the past that i'd like to
bump for my own sanity check...
Currently when i boot esx it hangs on "loading install.tgz
booting:mbi=0x00010090, entry=0x00100212"
Followed by a purple screen of death - #GP Exception(13) in world 0"

The last version I tried had a grub menu entry for running a debug version of esx. Using -serial stdio I could then see more verbose output (IIRC).

But there really was a thread with debugging help and pointers to patches about esx on kvm. Please try to find that one.
