Hello:

I am trying to install an Ubuntu 8.04 LTS guest on
my CentOS 5.4 server running KVM.

If I use the accelerate option to virt-install,
the guest crashes during the install.

Well, without kvm it will definitely run slowly.

I think the install problem is due to the grub splash screen, if you disable that the install should proceed.

If I add<model type='virtio'/> to the XML configuration
file after installing, the system locks at times when
it is accessing the network.

What kernel does the guest use?
