There's no linux_boot.bin in the qemu-kvm stable-0.11 source tree.

Also while at it, why can't kvm ship with
pxe-virtio.bin virtio boot rom from git
version of etherboot (rom-o-matic.org
produces it just fine)?

Questions of the form "why hasn't $event happened" are generally unanswerable.

like READMEs and patches - how up-to-date
they are?

This form of question also has a default answer, outdated.

Actually, the README and the patches should all be up to date. If not, please let me know because it's important that they all be up to date.
