Yolkfull, I've studied about single root IO virtualization before reviewing your patch, the general approach here looks good. There were some stylistic points as far as code is concerned, so I have rebased your patch against the latest trunk, and added some explanation about the features being tested and referenced (extracted from a Fedora 12 blueprint).
