A wish for KVM

Is it possible for KVM to operate GPU directly via the driver on the host?(May be in the future?)
QEMU seems to be too inefficient...
And it is said that PCI Hotplug support is now available in kvm.git, but I didn't see the actual GPU on the guest with the command "lspci" but only a VGA card, everything seems to be just emulated...
Any help will be appreciated!
