I have that commit in my tree. I did a little testing and if I remove "-cpu host" from qemu command line, then crash does not happen. So my E5-2690 is somehow involved. The test case is actually for a different issues, but since recently lots of kvm-related programs trigger this bug for me. And it seems to be very easy to trigger.
