hi, i'm a user of kvm and unknown to me is what ideal cpu flags would be
best to have or substract (-cpu ) so as to not expose too much for a
virtual machine's capability.
it's my last bit for optimizing my kvm instances, and can't seem to find
documentation about it online, so maybe I can try asking on this
mailinglist. Here I'm substracting the hypervisor flag (-cpu
kvm64,+x2apic,-hypervisor), thinking this is exposing too much
capability for a vm to have.
so my current cpu flags(in the vm) now stands with
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca
cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ht syscall nx lm constant_tsc
nopl eagerfpu pni cx16 x2apic
I understand there's nesting virtualization capabilities where such is
too much for the vm but I would like to make sure I'm not removing
something that is used for kvm's paravirtualization.
thanks
