Dear All, I am using Windows 10 KVM guests for various tasks, in particular security camera recording (to be replaced by linux VMs) and scanner operations (much more difficult to replace). Having applied the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to two desktop PCs, I wanted to upgrade one KVM guest as well. That did not work via various ways: - Windows update assistant Windows10Upgrade28084.exe vs. iso file produced via Windows Media Creation tool. - NIC as usual vs. NICs removed prior to upgrading from iso file - CPU configuration as usual vs. most simple CPU configuration The error message shown is "0xC1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation." Searching for that, one ends up with BIOS issues and problems around wireless and Bluetooth drivers. This is either not applicable for a KVM guest (wireless, Bluetooth) or not really accessible (BIOS). Beyond that, I was not able to detect meaningful errors in the Windows eventviewer. Are others seeing the same issue and is there a way out?
