https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121011 Bug ID: 121011 Summary: Whole system freezes randomly when booting with 'iommu=on' kernel parameter Product: Virtualization Version: unspecified Kernel Version: 4.4.14-1-lts Hardware: Intel OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: high Priority: P1 Component: kvm Assignee: virtualization_kvm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: daltonfury42@xxxxxxxxx Regression: No Created attachment 221211 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=221211&action=edit output of dmesg I am trying to run Windows 8.1 as a guest OS using KVM. It freezes probably when the guest OS tries to use the GPU. Steps to reproduce: 1) Run Windows inside QEMU 2) Open Google Chrome, go to https://www.chromeexperiments.com/webgl and run a experiment (so that GPU is used). I got a stack trace in dmesg output which has been attached to this report. Here is the lspci -vv output: https://paste.ubuntu.com/17917370/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe kvm" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
