Hello,

KVM on ARM is taking advantage the virtualization extensions in the Cortex-A15 (in fact, they are required).

It is in a pretty good state, being able to boot full Linux guests for a while now. You can start by looking at http://www.virtualopensystems.com/media/kvm-resources/kvm-arm-guide.pdf for some instructions on how to build and use the available code.

There's also a kvmarm-user mailing list at https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/kvmarm-user

Hi All,

I know that the Cortex A15 chip (ARMv7) has built in virtualization
support (like Intel VT-x),

1. Is there any Hypervisor (KVM and Xen) which takes advantage of
those processor hooks ?
2. One can do virtualization by using complete emulation OR make use
of chip’s capabilities and make it run faster (Complete
Virtualization) ?
3. I want to know what is the state of KVM/Xen implementation is for
Cortex A-15 ?

If it is ready can anybody point me to right direction ?

I will appreciate your help.
