Media Invited to Feb. 9 Teleconference with Kennedy Space Center Leaders

Media representatives are invited to participate in a teleconference at 3 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 9., with senior leaders from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The officials will discuss progress underway at Kennedy to advance exploration and discovery, including the journey to Mars.

The call will follow a "State of NASA" speech by NASA Administrator Charles Bolden at 1:30 p.m. from the agency’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, which will air live on NASA TV and the agency's website. These events also follow President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2017 budget proposal delivery to the U.S. Congress.

Participating in the teleconference are:

-- Bob Cabana, center director, Kennedy Space Center
-- Mike Bolger, program manager, Ground Systems Development and Operations Program
-- Kathy Lueders, program manager, Commercial Crew Program
-- Amanda Mitskevich, program manager, Launch Services Program

Media interested in participating should contact the Kennedy News Center at 321-867-2468 prior to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
