Feb. 27, 2012 Allard Beutel Kennedy Space Center, Fla. 321-867-2468 allard.beutel@nasa.gov MEDIA ADVISORY: M16-12 NASA INVITES MEDIA TO SPACE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOUR TOUR MARCH 7 CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Media are invited to interview and photo opportunities on March 7 in space shuttle Endeavour inside Orbiter Processing Facility-2 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla. Experts will be available for interviews around the outside of Endeavour and inside the shuttle's crew compartment. A limited number of time slots will be available throughout the morning and mid-afternoon. To accommodate as many journalists as possible, media organizations will be limited to one person per organization for a slot, with a maximum of two people, a reporter and videographer, for television media. NASA also is trying to first accommodate media who did not take part in the shuttle Discovery tour in June 2011. To sign up for this opportunity, U.S. media need to contact Tracy Young at tracy.g.young@nasa.gov by noon EST on Friday, March 2. She will contact all media about available time slots by close of business on March 2. No new international media credentials are available for this event. Endeavour's last spaceflight was the STS-134 mission in May/June 2011. Currently it is being prepared for public display at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. It will be flown to California on one of NASA's modified 747 aircraft in September 2012.
