The briefing, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, is set to begin no earlier than 6 p.m. EDT. It will start after the conclusion of the Flight Readiness Review, a meeting to assess preparations for shuttle Atlantis' STS-125 mission to upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope. Live status updates will be added periodically to the NASA News Twitter feed during the meeting. The readiness review is expected to include the selection of the official launch date.
